The college has two units of N.S.S. In the academic session one 10 day camp is organized and then 5 one day camps are conducted. This is a compulsory activity of the B.Ed. students in the college.
CELEBRATION OF NSS DAY & INAUGURATION OF 10-DAY NSS CAMP
To mark the NSS DAY, a 10 Day NSS camp was inaugurated by lighting the ceremonial lamp by the chief guest Mrs Raji P Shrivastva, Director Higher Education, Chandigarh Administration. 200 NSS volunteers participated in the celebration of the day. NSS programme Officers Dr. Anita Nangia and Dr. Seema Sareen highlighted on the proposed projects to be undertaken under the theme - 'Healthy Youth for Healthy India' during 10 days NSS camp at Buterla village. The main projects would focus on general, mental and spiritual health, training on nutrition and health education, apart from this, a few self-employment crafts like embroidery, knitting and painting etc. would be taught to the women of the adopted village Buterla. Sensitization and awareness programmes regarding social issues like Drug Addiction, Female Foeticide, Aids Awareness, Prevention of cruelty against animals, adult Literacy etc would also be conducting in the camp.
