The college has two units of N.S.S. In the academic session one 10 day camp is organized and then 5 one day camps are conducted. This is a compulsory activity of the B.Ed. students in the college.
Valedictory of 10 Day NSS Camp
On the concluding day of 10 Day NSS camp at Buterla village, under the guidance of programme officers Dr. Anita Nangia and Dr. Seema Sareen, the NSS volunteers organized valedictory function in the College premises. Mr. Gurdeep Singh Bhatti, Assistant Programme Advisor, NSS Regional Centre, Chandigarh, was the chief guest on the occasion. Congratulating over 190 NSS volunteers, the Chief Guest Mr.Gurdeep Singh Bhatti in his address said that NSS camp is the best platform to acquire qualities of leadership, to have social experience by direct contact with the society .He appreciated this meaningful and purposeful camp where NSS volunteers of the college tried to inculcate various skills in the villagers. The detailed report of NSS camp was presented by the NSS volunteers through power point presentation.
In cultural activities Songs, Group Dance, Skit and poems were performed by the children of Buterla village which were prepared under the guidance of NSS volunteers of the college. Pragati, a village girl recited a self composed poem on "Corruption". A skit having theme "Girl Education" was also presented by the NSS volunteers. Gifts were given to the children of Buterla village as token of appreciation.
The NSS volunteers shared their experiences and expressed their satisfaction of being able to do something for the betterment of society .The programme concluded with vote of thanks given by Dr. Jyoti Khanna.
