Alumnae Meet
With the marking of 40glorious years of pioneer in women education, DevSamaj College of Education, 36-B, Chandigarh, proudly celebrated the ‘Ruby Jubilee’ as Alumnae Reunion (1981-2021) on 3rd September through blended mode(online and offline). Under the patronage of Dr. Mrs. Agnese Dhillon, Principal DSCE, this function was organized to celebrate the tremendous years of achievement. The Guest of Honour for the event were Dr. Satinder Dhillon, Former Principal, DSCE and Prof. Latika Sharma, Department of Education, PU, Chandigarh.
The event began in the online mode accelerated with experiencing the digital technology with the warm welcome of Alumnae extended by Dr. Richa Sharma. Subtle spiritual encounter was initiated with the college prayer sung by Ms. Rajbir Kaur, Music Department. Many teachers of foundation batch 1981 also participated in the event. For the walk down the memory lane, glimpses of past years were presented in the form of Powerpoint presentation by Mrs. Charanjit Kaur. The nostalgia was created by the alumnae connected through distant places by sharing their memorable experiences creating enduring remembrance and recollection of memory. Cultural activities were put forward in the form of poetical expression by Ms. Chanda, Musical presentation by students of music department.
The session was adjourned by the Principal’s chief addressal expressing her views of the academic and cultural acheivements of the college and laurels brought by the students and staff. The formal vote of thanks was given by Mrs. Manjeet Kaur and acknowledged the participation by each alumna.
The offline celebration of Reunion was carried forward in the college campus with the staff, students and alumnae. The event commenced with a warm welcome extended by Dr. Neeru Malik. The show was hosted by B.ed 1st year student, Vaishaliwith brief introduction of the Revered Chairman ShrimanNirmal Singh Ji Dhillon, worthy Principal Dr. Mrs. Agnese Dhillon and faculty of the college. This was followed by cultural events viz Dance byJyoti and Song by BinnyRajwansh. The guest of honour with their benign presence and words of wisdom conveyed her experiences and legacy followed by the college.
The spotlight of the event was ramp walk which was accentuated by not only youngsters but also the alumnae with their magnetic charisma. The celebration was marked by titles and tags, namely Ms. Ruby queen-Saruchi, Ms. Elegant-Anjani, Ms. Well dressed- Priyanka, Ms. Charismatic- Sujata, Ms. Talented- Harman. The ramp walk by old teachers was the special attraction of the event. The event concluded with words by the Principal DSCE for the dedicated teachers and hardworking students to serve the mankind in a better way.
By all means, the event was a great success.
