“Vanaspati Jagat”, the Eco club of the college works towards an eco-friendly environment in and around our College and thereby contributing towards saving our planet.

- To inculcate the values of environmental consciousness among the students
- To develop environmental ethics among the students
- To motivate the students to keep their surroundings green and clean by undertaking plantation of trees.
- To maintain cleanliness in and around the campus.
- To educate students to create awareness amongst public and sanitary workers with regard to biodiversity conservation and local environmental issues
- To give hand on experience to the prospective teachers in organization of different activities concerning environmental issues
Activities of Eco Club
The Eco Club along with NSS volunteers of the college does its best efforts for a green campus.
- Organize rallies, marches, human chains at public places with a view to spread environmental awareness in the society
- To spread awareness about environmental issues and concerns through different media such as audio, visual, posters, seminar, workshop, Quizzes and Guest Lecture and competitions
- Action based activities like tree plantation, cleanliness drives both within and outside the College campus.
- Celebration of important days of Environmnetal importance like Akshay Urja Diwas, Ozone Day, World Forestry Day, Water conservation day, Earth Day , Wild life week and Van Mahotsav.
- Display Boards in classrooms.
- Educational trips to botanical and zoological parks
- Rain water Harvesting.
- Establishment and Maintenance of Herbal garden and kitchen garden
- The Eco Club members ensure that there is no wastage of potable water and creates awareness about optimum use of electricity.
- Making paper bags to discourage use of plastic bags.
- Awareness about solid waste and e- waste management
