I feel honoured and privileged to carry the legacy of the founder of Dev Samaj, most worshipful Bhagwan Dev Atma. Who found this unique religious movement in 1887. The fundamental principle of the society is to cultivate harmonious relationship with the four kingdoms, the kingdom of inanimate, plants, animals & human beings through feelings of respect, appreciation, and gratitude. Dev Samaj institutions believe in developing altruistic feelings as compassion, gratitude, reverence among its students and teachers.

As the secretary of Dev Samaj, it is an honour that the Dev Samaj Managing council continues to carry the vision of the revered founder & at present it is running 22 educational institutions in the country, out of which Dev Samaj College of Education, Chandigarh is a premium Teacher education institution, working for the cause of women education since 1981.

I am really proud that DSCE, Chandigarh is the first college in the northern region to be recognized by NCTE in 1997 and first teacher education college in the northern region to have been accredited with ‘Four stars’ by NAAC in 2002, and 'A' in its second and third cycle of NAAC accreditation in 2010 and 2017.

I wish the college success in its Fourth cycle of NAAC accreditation and with the dedicated efforts of the principal and staff, I am sure that the college will certainly scale new heights. Nirmal Singh Dhillon
