NSS Units of Dev Samaj College of Education, Sector-36 B, Chandigarh organized ‘ Awareness Talk on Role of Youth to realize a Drug- Free India’ on 23rd June, 2022. It was planned under the guidance of Shriman Nirmal Singh Dhillon, Chairman Dev Samaj and Dr. (Mrs.) Agnese Dhillon, Principal Dev Samaj College of Education. The resource person of this activity was Prof. Dr. Monica Munjial Singh, Member CCPCR and Ex- Chairman, Centre for Social Work, Panjab University, Chandigarh. She highlighted that the worst form of abuse for today's youth comes from drugs which destroys a person from inside outwards. Drug Addiction refers to the condition of being addicted to a particular drug, particularly narcotic drugs. She showed her concern that drug addiction is a social evil in India and it is the tragedy of our days that millions of youths, the future citizens of India, fall victims to the habit of taking drugs. Dr. (Mrs.) Agnese Dhillon, Principal Dev Samaj College of Education, mentioned the students regarding the harmful impacts of drug addiction. She also congratulated NSS Programme Officers Dr. Madhavi Goyal and Dr. Prabhjot Kaur for their successful efforts.
