Diploma Students Orientation Program'
Dev Samaj College of Education, 36-B, Chandigarh, organized the orientation program for the newly admitted students of PG Diploma in Guidance & Counselling and Child Guidance & Family Counselling (2021-22) on 6th October 2021 in offline mode. This function was organized to address the students and make them acquainted to their surroundings in the campus.
The event began with a warm welcome extended by Dr. Anuradha Agnihotri to the staff and students. Subtle spiritual encounter was initiated with the college prayer sung by Ms. Rajbir Kaur, Music Department. This was followed by the Principal's chief addressal expressing her views of the academic and cultural achievements of the college and encouraged the freshers to bring laurels in the coming future. A brief description of the institute was given by the host, which included the motto, history, culture of the college, facilities in the premises alongwith the recent achievements. The detailed program structure and evaluation was explained to students by the PG Diploma Incharge, Mrs. Karuna Singh. The students were also briefed about required training programs planned to develop competencies to approach the job market
The students introduced themselves to the faculty and other fellow mates. A campus tour by the Student Volunteers of B.ed was provided to the newcomers. The session was adjourned with the formal vote of thanks by Dr. Neeru Malik, Associate Professor. All the norms of COVID-19 were followed, with proper social distancing and sanitizers placed at the entrance gate.
By all means, the event was a great success.
