International Online Quiz On Mahatma Gandhi
NSS Units and Peace Club of Dev Samaj College of Education, Sector- 36B, Chandigarh celebrated 151st birth anniversary of the Father of the Nation, Mahatma Gandhi on 2nd October,2020. The day was celebrated by organizing an online International Quiz from 10 AM to 12 PM, in collaboration with Yuvsatta (Youth for peace) NGO. The highlight of the event was that the quiz was held in several foreign universities such as Udayana University; Indonesia York University,Canada; BITS PILANI, Dubai Campus,UAE; Oxford College,England; Deakin University, Australia; University of Manchester, UAE;DPS, UAE; Langara College, Canada and universities and colleges all across India.
The aim of the quiz was to spread the spirit of peace and non-violence among the youth through the “Life and Works of Father of the Nation.” Around 600 students enthusiastically participated in the online quiz. Not only this, the students who scored 75% and above were given E-Certificates for the same. Around 630 students participated in the quiz out of which 194 scored above 75% and 353 scored 60% and above.
The Principal, Dr (Mrs.) Agnese Dhillon congratulated the organizers Mrs. Charanjit Kaur and Dr. Harpreet Kaur, NSS Officers and Dr. Richa Sharma, Incharge of Peace Club for their joint efforts in making the event successful.
