Literacy Day Celebration
NSS Unit of Dev Samaj College of Education, Sector 36 B, Chandigarh celebrated Literacy Day. The event began with the college prayer ‘Bhala Chahna.’ The function was organized to highlight the importance and to raise awareness of literacy among every individual. Dr. Kamini Gupta (Librarian, Dev Samaj College of Education, Sector-36-B) drew special attention towards ‘E-Literacy’, a campaign launched by the Ministry of Human Resource Department (MHRD).

Educational books like stories, poems and dictionaries and games were collected from the students for the purpose of donation for the underprivileged children of the adopted village Kajheri, Sector-52, Chandigarh. Shriman Nirmal Singh Ji Dhillon, Secretary, Dev Samaj College of Education, Sector 36-B and Principal of the college Dr (Mrs) Agnese Dhillon motivated and encouraged the students to take a step forward and play their part in the society by donating more books.
They also congratulated the NSS Programme officers, Mrs. Charanjit Kaur and Dr. Harpreet Kaur for successfully organizing the event.
