NSS 7 Days Camp Inauguration
Dev Samaj College of Education inaugurated 7 days NSS Camp on 4th February, 2021 at 11.30 am in the college auditorium. All the protocols of COVID-19 were strictly followed during all the sessions. Dr. Sapna Nanda, Principal, Government College of Yoga and Health Education was the Chief Guest for the event. Dr. (Mrs.) Agnese Dhillon, Principal of the college extended a formal welcome to the Chief Guest and the students. Floral greetings were extended by the Principal to the worthy Chief Guest.Session I of Day I started with the college prayer “Mubarak Hai JanamUnka”. Dr. Harpreet Kaur, Incharge NSS welcomed everyone and presented the NSS Annual Report of the previous year. Binny Rajwansh, student of M. Ed. sang a patriotic song. It was followed by speech from Dr. Sapna Nanda. She told the students about the motto of NSS i.e. “Not Me But You”. She highlighted the aim of NSS and stressed upon helping others. The vote of thanks was presented by Mrs. Charanjit Kaur, Incharge NSS. After the vote of thanks, National Anthem was sung by the students.
During Session II of the Camp, Dr. Anuradha Agnihotri presented a talk on Emotional Intelligence. She explained to the students about the basic difference between Intelligence Quotient (IQ) and Emotional Quotient (EQ); need for EQ; Five elements of EQ; and ways to develop EQ. She also laid stress on enjoying life to the fullest and not to run after marks.Towards the end, she presented a self-authored poem on EQ titled “Mix Tape of Life”.
The day ended with the students preparing posters on World Cancer Day during the Session III. They also cleaned the campus as part of the Cleanliness Drive.
By all means, Day I of the NSS Camp was a great success.
