Republic Day and 11th National Voter’s Day Celebrations
Dev Samaj college of Education, Sector 36-B,Chandigarh celebrated ‘Republic Day and 11thNational Voter’s Day' for students with a great enthusiasm.All the protocols of Covid-19 (masks, sanitizers and social distancing) were maintained properly.Dr.Rakesh Malik(Deputy Director of Physical Education and Sports, Punjab Univerity) and Dr. Manoj Kumar Teotia ( Assistant Professor HUDCO Chair Coordinator Centre for Research in Rural and Industrial development) were welcomed as chief guests. Honourable Principal Dr.(Mrs.) Agnese Dhillon welcomed the chief guests and greeted them with planters.Dr.Neeru Malik (Nodal Officer, ELC) addressed the students and shared her views on importance of National Voter’s Day promoting the maximum enrollment.
The chief guests shared their valuable thoughts with the students regarding awareness and activities initiated by the government. Also infomation regarding E-platform for the introduction of E-adhar cards for the convenience of voters was shared amongst all. Besides this several other cultural activities like patriotic poetry,speech delivery,singing and dancing were performed by the talented students of the esteemed institution. Online poster, PowerPoint presentation and slogan writing competitions were organised and prize winners of the same were awarded with cash prize. All the participants took part with great zeal and interests, and look forward for more such events.
