A Two-day National Online Seminar sponsored by NAAC was organized by the IQAC of DevSamaj College of Education, 36-B, Chandigarh on NAAC revised Accreditation framework for Assessment and Accreditation of Teacher Education Institutions on 4th and 5th October,2021. The aim of the seminar was to deliberate and build awareness on the revised qualitative and quantitative metrics of NAAC framework. The session began with theInaugaral and warm welcomeof Prof. Mohammad Miyan, JamiaMiliaIslamia, New Delhi extended by DSCE Moderators, Dr. Richa Sharma, Associate Professor and Dr. Anita Nangia, IQAC coordinator. Further, theaddressal and highlights of the session objectives were conveyed by Dr. (Mrs.) AgneseDhillon, Principal DSCE. In continuation, day two began with welcome extended by Dr. SeemaSareen to all the Resource persons. The thought provoking sessions in reference to the four criterions, namely Research and outreach activities, student support and progression, governance, leadership and management, institutional values and best practiceswere covered by Dr. Neena Seth Pajni, Principal, Gobindgarh Public College, Khanna, Dr. Deepak Nanware, DAV Velankar College of Commerce, Solapur, Maharashtra, Prof. ShrihariPingale, IQAC Coordinator, SangamnerNagarpalika College, Sangamner.
The valedictory session was graced with the presenceof Dr. Dalip Kumar, Registrar, Amity University, Punjab. He summed up the session giving the exclusive current status of NAAC accredited colleges and plans for quality assurance with execution of policies for the higher education institutions, considerations, procedures and its standards, qualitative and quantitative matrix for the revised NAAC score. Formal Vote of thanks was given Dr. AnuradhaAgnihotri, Organizing Secretaryto all the participants from all over the nation. More than 200 participants joined through Zoom meet and the event was live on Youtube too.
By all means, the event was a great success.
